Akdeniz has fun scoring and Malaga makes a come-back thanks to a key victory against Aveiro

The praiseworthy effort made by Valencia encounters Oslo’s strength, and Cologne keeps being unbeaten

Handball’s inner beauty can be found in matches such as the one played during the fourth day of the female competition. Akdeniz offered the CTA audience a scoring festival that allowed the Turkish team to overcome yesterday’s defeat against Aveiro and get closer to semifinals. Primorska didn’t know how to respond against the strength shown by the Turkish team, and the difference in skills was further proven by the scoreboard (27-47).

In the other match of Group A Malaga used up the margin of error and Aveiro faced the game backed up by the two victories in a row. The host team always controlled the situation and, even though there were not significant differences on the court, the University of Malaga managed to find its way over the Portuguese group (20-18). With only one day left, Akdeniz, Malaga and Aveiro have two victories and one defeat.
On the other hand, Cologne was unrivaled again, even in the view of a fit Radboud Nijmegen. The Germans made it to the first position of Group B despite the Dutch efforts. The victorious team (23-26) reinforced its game and pushed Radboud Nijmegen to win tomorrow in order to make it to semi-finals.

The Valencia vs. Oslo match was also eventful. The Spanish team tried its best but lacked luck in some crucial moments. The Norwegians used their physical strength and throwing skills to establish the winning edge on the scoreboard. Four goals at the end of the second half (22-27) made an excessive difference that the Spanish team could not overcome. At the end of the match, both teams showed an exemplary sports behavior shaking hands after a great display of throws on both accounts.
