Dolmi steals the spotlight in the Open Days of the University of Malaga

These last few days, the University of Malaga has organized some open days to make its educational offer known to all future students starting their degrees next year. Almost 50 stands have helped more than 18.000 visitors be informed of all available degrees in our University, providing the possibility of getting to know first-hand what each degree consisted in, like their subjects and job prospects. Moreover, during those three days, some activities have been carried out in order to show the experience of the undergraduate environment, and also the cultural and sports offer that can be found in the University.

Dolmi, the mascot of the next European University Handball Championship and whose name comes from Antequera’s Dolmens, has been present in this event. The archaeological ensemble that gives him his name is formed by the Dolmens of Menga, Viera and El Romeral in Antequera, and is considered one of the best and well known exponents of the European megalithic complexes. The Dolmens of Antequera were declared Historic Heritage by UNESCO last July, being a place of interest to visit during the upcoming European Championship.

Dolmi has been a very special host to welcome future undergraduate students and promote the event among all the attendees in the open days event. Many of them have taken the chance to take a photo with him and to learn a little bit more about the Championship.
